We made it through November, a month men gather together to prove they can grow facial hair.
My November was filled with holiday photo shoots for sweet families, a family filled Thanksgiving and getting a head start on Christmas and New Year's plans. I should actually take off the New Year's plans, as Jon has assured me he has that one covered.
Speaking of New Year's, this one will mark our two year anniversary! TWO YEARS! I haven't been asked a lot about how we're doing (excellent by the way) but I have been asked a handful of times, "When are you getting engaged?" I have sat and thought about witty responses and most of them aren't very tactful so they are withheld. I will say, I've always gotten a bad taste in my mouth from ladies who pressure their significant other's into pre-divorce vows, AKA, the wedding. As with all relationships, I think it should be a very natural, organic thing with no additives, stipulations or deadlines. I'm not worried about it, he's not worried about it and when the time comes I'll be as surprised as the rest of you. Que sera sera. I have the best boyfriend, the greatest family, own my cozy home and am happy with my employment--what more could I ask for?
Moving onto more current months, like December. I finally got in the Christmas spirit a few weeks ago, although with the sun not letting winter take it's course, it has been a challenge.
December never fails to be a month packed with plans, parties and places to go. It's the one time of year that all the commitments you're signed up for are fun ones.
Thunder is of course back in action; since Jon has obligations to a different, equally important basketball team, our first game to attend will be Thunder vs. Spurs. I can't quite explain the greatness in having an NBA team in our state, but I do know there's no excuse good enough to be disinterested. Even those of you that think sports aren't your thing--you'd have a good time.
Cheers to the holiday season--Eat, Drink & Be Merry!
