Happy Day!

I just returned to my condo from a day at the pool with Kelly, Brad & their sweet nieces.

I just recently found a new job so I resigned on Friday the 13th (dun dun dun).  I start this coming Monday.  I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little nervous.  Something about getting older and new things don't go hand-in-hand.  I am so excited about this new opportunity.  A new job has been weighing on my mind a lot the past few months but I was determined to not switch employment until I had a good feeling that I'd enjoy my new job.  With that being said, I think I am really going to enjoy this new position.  Why was I so eager to switch places of employment?  A few reasons, I'm too young to be couped up in an office with no windows, I'm also too young to not have a position that utilizes my mobility, also when a job starts becoming your worst enemy, it's probably time to hit the high road.

My parents are big encouragers of doing something you love, which is probably why they forked over the tuition for me to major in photography.  Employment is a tricky thing the older you get.  I've found I've studied more for interviews than I ever did for a test in college.  Let's be honest though, you only get the chance for interviews by knowing someone and even then you only get one chance.  Not a lot of wiggle room in the employment realm.

Speaking of new jobs, did I even mention Jon got a job in Oklahoma City and has officially moved in?  HALLELUJAH!  If you asked me 3 years ago where I pictured my life, this probably wouldn't have been it.  I've somehow surpassed where I thought I'd be.  God must know I like surprises because most big things in my life have been a big surprise.  Hayley Buck must also know because she predicted Jon back in high school when I was sure I'd be single forever.

I can hardly wait to watch Jon coach and be able to attend more games.  Who's with me?  I don't mind being a solo cheerleading squad, but you might as well practice your cheering skills before Thunder starts back up.

Anyway, no complaints here.  Just enjoying family time this summer and new journeys.
