What a weekend.
Good thing I have Jon to elaborate my thoughts to or else this blog would get way out of hand.
My deal of the weekend and possibly the month: 2 skirts, 1 pair of pants, 1 sweater and 1 belt for $42.47 at Gap. One of the skirts alone was originally $79.95--I had my eye on it for a while and I knew Gap would finally do the right thing. We went to the Promenade in Tulsa and if you "liked" their facebook page you receive an additional 25% off of the already super low sales.
Jon and I are seeing Drake tomorrow!!! If anyone read the "Save the date" note on my wall from Mr. Belt he was referring to this concert he surprised me with. I figure if I can survive Kanye in concert twice and Lil Wayne, we should be golden for Drake--So. Excited.
Things brought to my attention this weekend:
1. People say unusual things.
2. People do unusual things.
3. The older you get the more your friends are based off of lifestyle instead of entertainment, which is probably why all my friends have a degree and a professional job.
4. Midriffs still shouldn't be allowed even after high school.
5. I can only handle conversations strictly involving jokes for so long. I love laughing, but enjoy some dialect.
6. No one is the same so comparisons and expectations do no good---thank you Jon for shining some light on this.
7. I learned a lot from my parents growing up and hopefully can start emulating their character more.
8. Not much is worth holding a grudge on. In fact, when I think about issues months later I often forget why something was even started. Not. Worth. It.
9. Age doesn't mean maturity, not for boys or girls, not for moms or dads, not for grandmas and grandpas, not for anyone.
10. No matter how close someone is or isn't to you it's never a good idea to get involved with their problems, ever. Truth can be revealed quite a while after a situation and you may regret your judgements. Remember, "There are two sides to every story. Then there's the truth."
